SIGNATURE PROGRAM ROUND 2

Extended Weed Prevention

Start here after your service. These are the standard instructions for this treatment round.

ROUND2OF 7

People & pets

Stay off the treated lawn until it is completely dry, with a two-hour minimum.

Watering

Wait 24 hours after the treatment. The following day, lightly water the lawn to move the pre-emergent into the upper soil.

Mowing

Typically, it is not necessary to mow this time of year. If you do cut the grass, wait 48 hours after the treatment.

Protect the barrier

Avoid aeration, aggressive raking, or other soil disturbance after the barrier is established.

If your service completion email identifies a property-specific adjustment, follow that exception for this visit.

SEASONAL ADJUSTMENTS

Early spring conditions can vary from week to week.

Warm days may encourage weeds before the lawn is fully active, while cold periods can slow visible treatment results. Regular watering is usually unnecessary while the grass remains dormant, but the pre-emergent still needs to be watered into the soil. If you are unsure about any of these recommendations, please contact our office and we'll be happy to provide additional guidance.

RECOMMENDED SPRINKLER SETTINGS

Water in the treatment, then let spring rainfall help.

After this service

Water in as directed above

Follow this round's watering instructions to water in the treatment. Afterward, you usually do not need to start a regular watering schedule yet. Leave the automatic schedule off while the soil has enough moisture.

Through the spring

Cooler weather and rainfall usually do the work

Regular watering is usually unnecessary in the spring. Cooler temperatures and more frequent rainfall often provide enough moisture until the beginning of summer. Check the soil during dry spells and water as needed if rainfall is not keeping up.

01

What We Applied

A second pre-emergent application designed to extend weed prevention further into the growing season, with spot treatment of visible weeds when conditions allow.

02

Why It Matters

Splitting the pre-emergent treatment helps maintain a stronger preventive barrier as soil temperatures rise and warm-season weeds begin to germinate.

03

What You May Notice

The pre-emergent works below the surface, so there may not be an immediate visible change. Existing weeds may twist, yellow, or decline gradually after treatment.

04

Grass-Specific Notes

Bermuda, Zoysia, and St. Augustine may begin spring growth at different times. We match any weed-control treatment to the grass type and its current condition.

WHEN TO CONTACT GREEN GRASS

Tell us before installing sod, seed, or plugs, aerating the lawn, or performing other work that will disturb the treated soil.
