Stay off the treated lawn until it is completely dry, with a two-hour minimum.
SIGNATURE PROGRAM ROUND 3
Start here after your service. These are the standard instructions for this treatment round.
DO THIS FIRST
Stay off the treated lawn until it is completely dry, with a two-hour minimum.
The fertilizer will need to be watered in with a heavy watering. We recommend a 25- to 30-minute cycle. If weeds are present, wait 24 hours before watering.
If weeds are present, wait 48 hours to mow. If no weeds are present, you can resume normal landscaping after the fertilizer is watered in.
Do not pull or disturb treated weeds immediately. Allow time for the weed control to move through the plant.
If your service completion email identifies a property-specific adjustment, follow that exception for this visit.
SEASONAL ADJUSTMENTS
Soil temperature, shade, recent weather, and grass type can affect how quickly your lawn responds. This time of year, you typically will not need to water as much because we usually receive some rain. Continue monitoring the weather and adjust your sprinkler schedule when necessary. If you are unsure about any of these recommendations, please contact our office and we'll be happy to provide additional guidance.
RECOMMENDED SPRINKLER SETTINGS
During this period, it is essential that your lawn receives at least 1 inch of water per week from rainfall and sprinkler watering combined. Measure rainfall and use your sprinklers to make up the difference. As summer heat builds, monitor soil moisture and increase watering as needed.
Example based on a measured output of 0.6 inch per hour, with no rainfall
Large sprinkler systems: If your sprinkler system has a large number of zones, you may not be able to follow the suggested schedule exactly. Spread the watering passes across multiple consecutive days as needed, keeping the same total watering time per zone and following local watering rules.
Follow the treatment watering instructions above first. Adjust runtime for your measured sprinkler output and rainfall, and follow local watering rules.
01
A seasonal fertilizer application to promote early-season color and steady growth, plus targeted spot treatment of active weeds when conditions allow.
02
This visit supplies nutrition as warm-season turf begins active growth while addressing weeds that compete with the lawn for water, light, and nutrients.
03
Color and growth improve gradually after the fertilizer is watered in. Treated weeds may twist, discolor, or stop growing before they decline.
04
Bermuda and Zoysia may green up at different rates depending on temperature and shade. St. Augustine receives products and rates selected for its particular tolerances.
WHEN TO CONTACT GREEN GRASS
Contact us if you notice an unusual lawn response or if treated weeds show no visible change after 14–21 days.
