SIGNATURE PROGRAM ROUND 6

Fall Weed Prevention

Start here after your service. These are the standard instructions for this treatment round.

ROUND6OF 7

People & pets

Stay off the treated lawn until it is completely dry, with a two-hour minimum.

Watering

After the service, the pre-emergent will need a light watering to move it into the upper soil.

Mowing

Mowing can resume after the pre-emergent has been watered in.

Protect the barrier

Avoid aeration, aggressive raking, or other soil disturbance after the pre-emergent barrier is established.

If your service completion email identifies a property-specific adjustment, follow that exception for this visit.

SEASONAL ADJUSTMENTS

Fall weather can change quickly.

Rain may provide some of the water your lawn needs, but dry periods are still possible. Monitor the weather and adjust your sprinkler schedule so the treatment is watered in and the lawn does not remain under drought stress. If you are unsure about any of these recommendations, please contact our office and we'll be happy to provide additional guidance.

RECOMMENDED SPRINKLER SETTINGS

A practical fall starting point.

Hot, dry weather or milder days

Adjust as temperatures cool

Aim for about 1½ inches of water per week during hot, dry weather, or about 1 inch per week in milder weather. Count rainfall and irrigation together toward that total. As temperatures cool, reduce watering and check soil moisture before running the system.

HOT & DRY WEATHER5 × 30-minute passesAbout 1½ inches · Day 1: 3 cycles · Day 2: 2 cycles
MILDER WEATHER5 × 20-minute passesAbout 1 inch · Day 1: 3 cycles · Day 2: 2 cycles

Large sprinkler systems: If your sprinkler system has a large number of zones, you may not be able to follow the suggested schedule exactly. Spread the watering passes across multiple consecutive days as needed, keeping the same total watering time per zone and following local watering rules.

These are starting settings for an established lawn. Adjust for sprinkler output, soil, rainfall, and local watering rules.

01

What We Applied

A fall pre-emergent application designed to help prevent many cool-season annual weeds from establishing during the cooler months.

02

Why It Matters

Pre-emergent works in the upper soil before targeted weeds become established. Watering activates the treatment and helps form the protective barrier.

03

What You May Notice

The treatment is preventive, so there may not be an immediate visible change. Existing weeds may require separate control, and occasional breakthroughs can still occur.

04

Grass-Specific Notes

Bermuda and Zoysia gradually slow as temperatures cool. St. Augustine can remain active longer, so treatment decisions are matched to its condition and seasonal growth.

WHEN TO CONTACT GREEN GRASS

Tell us before installing sod, seed, or plugs, aerating the lawn, or performing other work that will disturb the treated soil.
